About
Hi! My name is Roberto Montanez. I have always been curious about the way we do things and how we react to different situations. Even the most mundane things in our lives, I find interesting.
Often I find myself sharing my observations with my beautiful wife, friends, and my students. Their views and comments consistently result in very stimulating conversations.
I have a M.S. in Psychology and have worked for a few years in the field of psychology and education. Working with people in the clinical setting and in the classroom has helped me gain a unique view about our world.
I have a PASSION for teaching and sharing information. In 2008, while teaching a General Psychology class, I wrote articles titled “Did You Know?” for my students to have a way to relate psychology to their everyday life. Knowledge can be lost if we cannot relate it to our experiences. It was very rewarding seeing that “Aha” moment in the students faces.
One night, while writing an article for the class, I wondered how other people outside of the classroom would react to the articles. I thought to myself, “maybe this information might be interesting to others” and PSYCHBITS was born!
PSYCHBITS is all about sharing a different perspective with you… one “bit” at a time. The goal of this site is to share with you information, experiences, and perspectives about the world of psychology and our lives. We all have an unfulfilled desire for introspection.
