After a long day of chores and personal planning, I came across this post at Psychscribe. The title and picture says it all. Out of all the things that you are spending most of your time on, will it matter later in your life?
Out of those things, are they the ones that are the most fulfilling to you? Most of the time, we spend the majority of our energy trying to fix things that are insignificant in the long run. There is an anonymous quote that reads,
“Every morning you are handed 24 golden hours. They are one of the few things in this world that you get free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you couldn’t buy an extra hour. What will you do with this priceless treasure?”
At the end of your day, What is important to you? Are you making the most of it?
Roberto.

Unfortunately, most of us been victims of allowing ourselves to get consumed with our circumstances. Your comment about spending time on what’s fulfilling is very relevant. Too often we hear of those who are approaching death indicate that they would have spent less time worrying about the little things and enjoyed life and their loved ones more. We should never lose sight of what’s important to us and that’s what we should focus on.
Yes, simplicity in life is very important. I always try to remember the good words saying “Keep it simple”. Life is hard, so I think we should simplify it and waste unimportant things from our life.
